July 22

Steve's abscess continues to drain. He still spikes fevers and is on oxygen to maintain his oxygen saturation. His pulse has slowed somewhat - it had been elevated the past two weeks. They started him on a new antibiotic (ertapenem) today.

  2. Hufford Family-

My heart aches for you and this battle you are fighting but I have faith that you'll be lead down the path of recovery.

My Mother, Deborah Bunge was a patient of Dr. Huffords 11 years ago. I will never forget the amazing strength, knowledge, confidence and positivity that Dr. Hufford instilled in my Mother over 2 years of treatment for Breast Cancer. He was kind, sympathetic, patient and generous not only to my Mother but also to me, a scared teenager watching her Mother fight breast cancer. He told me with great conviction that he would cure her and he kept his promise. My Mom was a single parent and she and I were a very tight team, Dr. Hufford had the ability to make me trust him with my Mothers health, safety and care-a very hard task that he handled beautifully. Because of the dedication from he and his staff me, her friends and our family enjoyed 9 bonus years of life with my Mother. She passed away from a second battle with Breast Cancer 16 months ago but if it weren't for Dr. Hufford she never would have made it as far as she did and been able to see me graduate from college or put herself thru school for the first time in her late 50's.

Thank you for all that you did and all that it allowed me to share with my Momma.

All of my prayers and well wishes are with you for peace and healing-

    Respectfully-
    McKenna Bunge
